Approximately 200 people gathered at Titan's Stadium to view the progress and development of the Riverfront Park Plans.  As part of the long-term
plan, several projects will boost the capacity of the riverfront to host 1-2 million visitors a year.  Amenities include fountains and piers, terraces on the
west bank of the river,  a two-mile riverfront walking/biking loop, natural trails and vegetation, a cove, rain gardens, recreational boat docks and an
overlook and a grassy performance lawn. Two up- front projects get under construction later this year, an adventure play park on the east bank and
the adaptive retrofit of the former Nashville Bridge Company Building.

"This is a city on the rise, our best days are still ahead of us. It's exciting and this project, in the core of the city along our river is going to be
something that people in Nashville will be enjoying for years and years to come,"
-Mayor Karl Dean

"It looks phenomenal." - Councilman Mike Jameson
